Abstract

Special schools and the educators within them play a pivotal role in advancing the concept of inclusive education. While inclusive education emphasizes accommodating diverse learning needs within mainstream schools, special schools provide specialized support and interventions for students with specific disabilities or challenges. These educators possess a deep expertise in addressing the unique needs of their students, making them invaluable resources for promoting inclusion. special schools act as transition hubs, preparing students with disabilities for eventual integration into mainstream classrooms. They focus on essential skills like communication and socialization, critical for successful inclusion. These schools also serve as resource centers, offering guidance, training, and resources to mainstream educators and families, fostering a collaborative approach to inclusivity. Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) are a hallmark of special education, ensuring personalized support and accommodations for students. Special educators excel in creating and implementing these plans, benefiting students whether they remain in special schools or join inclusive classrooms. Special schools engage in research and innovation, developing best practices and assistive technologies that benefit all students.
