This research explores the experiences of middle school students with autism spectrum disorder (ASD), emphasizing the challenges, interventions, and strategies that support academic and social development. Using data from recent studies, surveys from educators, and case studies, this paper identifies significant academic and social barriers encountered by middle school students with autism and analyzes the efficacy of various interventions and inclusive practices. Graphical data highlights differences in academic performance, social integration, and mental health outcomes between students with ASD and their neurotypical peers. The paper concludes with recommendations for schools to improve support systems and foster inclusive environments that empower students with autism.
